For the first of two incredible pops concerts this season, we present a spectacular evening of Broadway hits. Your SOST will be joined by the multi-talented tenor Connor Bogart O’Brien to perform America’s most beloved musicals. You’ll be snapping along with the “Jersey Boys” in your head to “Oh What a Night” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” and then drift through the great music that made “Frozen,” “West Side Story,” “Les Misérables,” and “Phantom of the Opera” such great memories.
A classical violinist since the age of five, O’Brien studied opera at the Eastman School of Music in New York, and has since toured the globe as a professional performer. Some of his notable theater performances have included leading roles in Miss Saigon (Chris), Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Joseph) and Altar Boyz (Abraham). O’Brien sings in multiple styles ranging from opera to musical theater to rock and also possesses a very high and pure falsetto. He has been the featured soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra and The Cleveland Pops among others. He has also toured the U.S, and along with his band, has performed as the opening act on over 20 national tours. He can also currently be heard behind the scenes singing and recording jingles for companies such as Hasbro Toys and American Greetings, and as a headlining act on Princess, Holland America, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean cruise lines with his previous group of Broadway veterans, “The Matinee Idols.”
“Oh What a Night” brings Broadway’s best right here to Beaumont!
