“Music has always been an increasingly important influence in my life and I’d hate to imagine how my life would be without it.” Cara said, “It has shaped my personality and experiences in so many wonderful ways.”
Cara is excited to perform at the Symphony of Southeast Texas’ upcoming education concerts for local students.
“It’s so surreal that I’m going to get to perform a concerto with a live orchestra of elite musicians, several of whom I already know and admire,” Cara said.

“When I was nine, I competed in a little competition called the Music Festival. There were many talented people competing [and] although I did not win overall, I [have] a memory that [will last] forever, along with $100,” Kanae said. “I want to continue to compete in competitions, even this concerto one again, hoping to get 1st place.”
Kanae feels good about her performance during auditions and is thankful to her piano teachers who strive to make her better.
