Since its inception, SOST’s individual contributions have enabled us to provide a great variety of music, support a full-scale symphonic orchestra with competitive wages for musicians, attract first-rate guest artists, and perform in a hall that is both technically and aesthetically excellent. Individual contributions signal a special understanding of the intricacies of maintaining a professional orchestra, knowing that ticket income alone will not provide the resources for us to realize our musical goals.
