Director of Operations
Mason Hendrix is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. He joined the Symphony in 2024 as Director of Operations.
In this role, Mason oversees orchestra personnel, concert staging, and the music library. As personnel manager, he organizes and manages orchestra auditions, communicates logistical details to musicians, and ensures the correct personnel are in place for every concert. As stage manager, he coordinates with the stage crew on set design and setup, while also working with lighting and sound to guarantee successful performances. As librarian, Mason is responsible for purchasing and managing music rentals, maintaining the Symphony’s existing library, and ensuring all musicians receive their music well in advance of rehearsals.
In his free time, Mason enjoys playing the oboe, spending time with his cat Beans, going to the beach, swimming, staying physically active, and cherishing moments with his family.
