The Symphony of Southeast Texas is thrilled to announce the return of Claire Huangci in Passion: Struggle and Resolution Saturday, February 19 at 7:30pm at the Julie Rogers Theatre. The talented Maestro Chelsea Tipton II will lead your SOST orchestra in Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 with Claire joining us in Schumann’s Piano Concerto. Maestro Tipton and SOST are delighted to welcome concertgoers to a return to live music and the enthusiasm SOST audiences always provide.
Claire Huangci originally joined us in 2019, and we are so excited for her return. As the winner of the first prize and the Mozart prize at the 2018 Geza Anda Competition, she continuously captivates audiences with her “radiant virtuosity, artistic sensitivity, keen interactive sense and subtle auditory dramaturgy” (Salzburger Nachrichten). In 2013, she received the Cliburn Competition Jury Discretionary Award.
Single tickets are on sale and prices range from $32-$55 for this concert and are available at sost.org.
Our deepest thanks go out to our show sponsors: Rosine McFaddin Wilson and Regina Rogers. Sponsors like these help the Symphony of Southeast Texas play a role in the education, entertainment, and cultural enrichment of all residents of Southeast Texas.
