SOST Featured Percussionists

Jamie Strawther has been with the Symphony of Southeast Texas since 1998 and is currently Director of Operations and Principal Percussionist.  He is also the Business Representative for IATSE Local 183. He lives in Lumberton with his wife, Lara, a choir director in Nederland ISD. Together they serve as ministers at Impact Church in Beaumont.

Justin Collazo is currently a band director at Nederland ISD where he has taught for 14 years. He has played with the Symphony of Southeast Texas for 20 seasons now, and is a resident of Port Neches, TX where he lives with his wife Amy and their daughter Marlee.

Dr. Francisco Perez is a percussionist, composer, and educator from Pflugerville, TX. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Percussion at Lamar University, where he oversees all aspects of the percussion studio. He has been playing with SOST since 2017.
