Home for the Holidays is back, so polish your sleigh bells and gather family and friends for that most beautiful time of the year. Maestro Chelsea Tipton II leads an all-new Christmas program this year with The Texas Tenors on December 3rd at 4PM. We are thrilled to welcome them back to the Julie Rogers Theatre for Our Favorite Time of the Year: A Symphonic Christmas. This year they will be joined on stage with the SOST Chorus!
The Texas Tenors are the most successful music group and third highest selling artist in the history of NBC’s America’s Got Talent! Since appearing on the series in 2009, JC, Marcus and John have performed over 2000 concerts, recorded 5 studio albums, produced 2 PBS Specials, and have written two hit children’s books earning them impressive recognition including 3 EMMY Awards, The Gelett Burgess Award for Excellence in Children’s Literature and the distinction of being Billboard Magazine’s #10 Classical Artist in the World. The tenors’ most recent albums “Outside the Lines”, “Rise” and “A Collection of Broadway and American Classics” all debuted at #1 on the Billboard Charts.
The Texas Tenors invite you to also celebrate a huge milestone with them… 15 years together! And SOST is thrilled to celebrate this huge achievement with them during this most special time of year!
“Get ready to be thrilled as The Texas Tenors comeback to Southeast Texas! What’s even more exciting is that our very own local talent, the SOST Chorus, will be sharing the stage with them. Together, they will bring new arrangements that will surely captivate and inspire the community,” said Maestro Tipton. “This concert is a perfect opportunity to spend time with your loved ones and bask in the Christmas spirit. So come on down to the Julie Rogers Theatre and let your Symphony of Southeast Texas kick start your holiday season!”
This holiday concert with The Texas Tenors will be $50 for adults and $15 for students with a discounted price of $30 for season ticket subscribers. Tickets are available at sost.org or call us at 409-892-2257.
