The youth education concert will be on April 12.
SOST invites you and your students to a FREE concert exploring notable images from history and how they relate to patterns, structure, and form in music!
Students will learn how music is comprised of patterns, the relationship between different elements of a particular work, and how that form is an essential aspect of music and art. Come explore how music plays a part in the visual arts as well as mathematics.
The concert will include music from Berlioz, Britten, Beethoven, Mozart, Ginastera, and Rossini.
Maestro Chelsea Tipton II will lead the SOST in a live concert at the Julie Rogers Theatre. The concert will also feature our 2023 Concerto Competition winner!
This program is created for fifth grade students utilizing many of the key elements included in STARR testing, but all ages are welcome. We hope you’ll take a morning adventure and join us by completing the form below.
Please fill out and return this form to sign up your class for the concert! Deadline to sign up is March 31, 2023.
